Growing up with a father who was a Cantor, Wendy truly understands the significance of becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. She has visited and/or photographed in many synagogues in California and in Phoenix, Arizona. Wendy has recently moved her business to Phoenix, AZ
Wendy Perl has been photographing Bar and Bat Mitzvah's for over 25 years at many of the largest Synagogues and Temples in the Los Angeles area including: Beth Shir Shalom, Santa Monica Synagogue, and Kehillat Ma'arav of Santa Monica, Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills. Temple Israel of Hollywood, Temple Beth Am and Temple Isaiah, University Synagogue and Leo Baeck Temple and Wilshire Boulevard Temple of Los Angeles and Congregation Kehillat Israel of Pacific Palisades. Since many of the Synagogues do not allow photographs during Shabbat, Wendy recommends taking the formals on the rehearsal day which takes about 90 minutes. This is highly recommended and allows for the optimum portrait lighting under relaxed conditions. However, if this is not possible, Wendy is available at least 2 hours before the Bar/Bat Mitzvah service to take as many formal portraits as possible. If your Temple allows photos to be taken during the service, Wendy is available to photograph the service by using natural lighting, the best quality equipment and long lenses to capture those treasured moments. Wendy has a background in graphics from NBC and can help you with planning or printing items for your Big Party! Sign-in-Boards, Sign-in-Books, Centerpieces and Red Carpet backdrops for a photo op are another speciality Wendy can offer which adds uniqueness to your event.
